As a Queer BIPOC artist, educator, and researcher, my mission is to cultivate spaces rooted in curiosity, care, equity, and creative freedom. I believe movement has the ability to connect people across differences, preserve lived experiences, and create opportunities for individuals and communities to see themselves reflected and valued. My practice is dedicated to fostering environments where diverse voices, bodies, and stories are recognized as essential parts of our shared cultural landscape.

My Vision

My personal dream is to contribute to a world where dance and the arts are recognized not only as entertainment, but as powerful forms of knowledge, cultural memory, storytelling, and human connection. Through performance, education, and research, I strive to honor the histories carried within movement while expanding access and visibility for artists and communities whose contributions have often been overlooked. My work seeks to celebrate dance as a vital expression of identity, resilience, and collective imagination.

Current Research & Ethnochoreological Practice

My current work explores dance as embodied knowledge: a living archive through which communities preserve, transform, and reimagine history. As an Ethnochoreologist, tap dancer, and movement researcher, I investigate the ways rhythm, improvisation, and physical practice carry memory, identity, and cultural connection across generations.

My research centers tap dance as a site of cultural exchange and “RE-membering”—a process of reconnecting fragmented histories, honoring lineage, and understanding the body as a vessel of knowledge. Through performance, archival research, choreography, and community engagement, I explore how movement can reveal the relationships between ancestry, identity, resistance, and belonging.
